✨STELLAR SUGGESTION✨ □ Arrive early and let your child create their own butterfly jar in the lobby before the show begins. However, this Sunday CJ seems to be noticing the differences between himself and others on the bus. The story is about a boy (CJ) and his grandmother (Nana) taking their daily Sunday bus trip across town. The Last Stop on Market Street is playing at the Dallas Children’s Theater from March 18 - April 2. For this activity I chose to read the book The Last stop on Market Street by Matt de la Peña. Pick up a copy for your home library and check out the back of the program for Family Questions for the Ride Home. This popular children’s book is read in many classrooms but is also a great home lesson. Experience the story of CJ’s Sunday rituals with his grandma and the important lessons he learns about having a servants heart and seeing the world through different eyes. Last Stop on Market Street Written by Matt de la Peña and Illustrated by Christian Robinson This 2016 Caldecott and Newbery medal winner tells the story of CJ and his grandma riding across town on the bus and the many sights they encounter. □ LAST STOP ON MARKET STREET □ Watch the story and illustrations of Matt de la Pena and Christian Robinson come to life in the play adaptation of the 2016 Newbery Medal winning children’s book, The Last Stop on Market Street.
